舊金山之旅 / Memorial Day weekend in SF

Day 1

On our way to San Francisco, we stopped by Solvang for lunch and a short stroll around town.

No one was interested in taking pictures at that time, but little did we know this photo was already hinting at all the silliness that would ensue.

By the time we reached San Francisco, it was already quite late. We wasted no time checking into our suite and headed straight to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner.

Hello Cindy trying to decide what crustacean delicacies she should have for dinner.

Group shots in front of the world famous sign.

Uh... I cut my finger while battling my crab dinner, can I have some Choc-Aids?

Hey, that's our badminton buddy Ken!
真的是有緣千里來相會啊!

After Fisherman's Wharf, we drove around downown SF a bit and came to Civic Center Plaza to have some fun with pictures.

Relaxing in our suite after a hard day.

Day 2

We got up bright and early for a day of sun and fun, and how do you spell "fun"? W-I-N-E, of course! Anthony's friend recommended V. Satturi winery, and that's exactly where we went first thing in the morning. We arrived shortly after its tasting room opened at 9:30am, but it's already full of customers sampling many of its fine products

We aren't the drinking type so we took some pictures and sampled food instead.

After most of us got boozed up, we drove up to Beringer for more pictures.

How we arrived at this shot (one on left) is a long story, but the moment was right for an album cover type of shot, and I took it. Little did I know this would evolve into more than an one-off thing.

On the way back, we drove around San Pablo Bay to take the 101 Fwy so we can stop by Golden Gate Bridge. Even though it's only 3pm, the fog had already rolled in and covered up the sky.

First, some standard tourist shots for mom & dad...

... and then, the album cover shot...

I don't think anyone's done a shot like this here, and if it weren't so freaking cold and windy that afternoon, people would've looked at us like we're just weird.

The Palace of Fine Arts is another must-see San Francisco landmark, and luckily for us, it's conveniently located just off the GGB toll booth.

Day 3

Originally we wanted to have dim sum at 鯉魚門 in Daly City (around the corner from our hotel), but the place was packed solid with hungry customers, and there's no way we could wait 1+ hour for lunch, so we settled for the next best thing: China Town in downtown SF.

Didn't we just have lunch? I thought we're just gonna walk around...

Check out what we found! What a nice conclusion to our great trip.

馬英九後援會/ Ma19 press lunch

Since there're over 300 photos taken at this event (mine + Momou's), I won't be writing comments or post all of them here because there're just too many. If you want a complete set of photos, please contact John to obtain a copy.
